Walter H. Eller papers, 1911-1956.

Papers of Walter H. Eller, a professor at Western Illinois State Teachers College from 1920-1958. Eller taught chemistry and physics, and he directed the band from 1920-1942. Previous to teaching at Western, Eller taught at River Falls State Normal School in Wisconsin, where he wrote their band's fight song, The Falls March. Eller also composed Western's fight song, We're Marching On. The collection includes grade books from 1920-1942, course materials, correspondence, notes, and music manuscripts. The music manuscripts include copies of The Falls March and We're Marching On.
